What Causes Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) now has an actual medical definition: Severe disabling fatigue in combination with impaired concentration and short-term memory, poor sleep, and musculoskeletal pain.

Other symptoms of Chronic Fatigue include general malaise, headache, depression, low-grade fever, poor concentration, gastrointestinal symptoms, allergies, muscle and joint pain, anxiety attacks, mental confusion, sleep disturbance, weight loss, and skin rash.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome has many names: encephalomyalgia, chronic fatigue immune dysfunction syndrome, CFIDS, myalgic encephalitis, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, POTS, chronic tiredness and fibromyalgia.

What is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?

Some chronic fatigue symptoms are flu-like - such as chills and sore throat. Mental and emotional symptoms are common. Memory for recent events may be diminished. Comprehending spoken words may be difficult. Some patients are constantly sick while others experience periods of exacerbation and remission. Women report CFS more often than men.

A close cousin of CFS, fibromyalgia, is a similar condition that shares many of the same symptoms. Both of these conditions appear to be connected to yeast overgrowth. A significant number of sufferers from these two syndromes find relief when they follow the Candida diet and other protocols to address their yeast overgrowth.

Chronic Fatigue Treatment

Keeping a journal of everything you eat helps you determine what foods you should avoid and what foods you can eat. Make sure to note how you feel two hours after the meal.

Any food that makes you feel ill, tired or bloated should be removed from your diet until the treatment program is complete. Also any food that creates cravings instead of filling you up should be avoided.

When the treatment program is complete, don't immediately jump back into your old eating habits. Do the Challenge Phase of the Candida diet.

Using a treatment program and keeping a journal your eating habits will help you get the Candida overgrowth under control. Since Chronic Fatigue Syndrome can be caused by excess Candida, killing the Candida may cure the Chronic Fatigue.
